My name is Helen Currie Davis. When I was ten years old I became interested in family history. But, it was not until I was in my mid thirties that I became interested in the search. Since then I've found many of my ancestors. It has been an exciting journey. As in most families there is usually one person who is interested in the search for ancestors. My children, siblings, cousins and aunts and uncles are interested in the stories not the actual search. With this in mind I've decided to share the lives of our ancestors through stories and photos so my family can enjoy and celebrate their heritage. It is to them that this web page is dedicated.
You might be wondering why my web page is named Loosahatchie Grass. My late husband, Brent, had a bluegrass band named Loosahatchie Grass. This web page was originally for his band. I decided to keep the name in honor of him. He didn't understand why I would want to find out about dead people or walk through cemeteries, but he was supportive of my interest in family history. Genealogy is a lifelong process of corrections and additions and I welcome them. Please email me at gertrude2@juno.com
